Bawdsey Radar Easter Trail involves finding the ‘Running Rabbit’. Throughout the School Easter holiday on our open days, young & old can take part in the trail. Running Rabbit images with a letter, are distributed around the museum. Decode the letters into a word and receive a chocolate bunny prize.
The ‘Running Rabbit’ theme is connected to a problem that sometimes occurred on a radar screen. Electrical interference from nearby radar stations would show up on the screen as a series of very close dots – hence it was named ‘running rabbits’.
