D-Day minus One

The largest seaborne invasion in history took place 80 years ago tomorrow.

D-Day 6 June 1944 was an international effort with British troops fighting alongside those from many other countries, fighting together against fascism.

Allied forces consisted primarily of US, British and Canadian troops but also included Australian, Belgian, Czech, Dutch, French, Greek, New Zealand, Norwegian, Rhodesian [present-day Zimbabwe] and Polish naval, air and ground support.

Lest We Forget.
