You could see Venus in daylight!

Visitors with the help of the Orwell Astronomical Society, were able to view Venus in daylight.  The group set up their equipment outside the Transmitter Block, with ideal sunny conditions.  The telescopes in use permitted looking at the sun safely and seeing the planet Venus.

Orwell Astronomical Society are based at Orwell Park Observatory and welcomes anyone who is interested in astronomy.
