12 Days of Radar – Day Four

At Bawdsey Radar, we are keen to preserve the stories of as many of the men and women who served at RAF Bawdsey.  The objects held for posterity in the museum’s collection include recordings of some of the women and men who worked at Bawdsey and other radar stations.

One story is from James Atkinson, who worked under Cyril Fogg to develop the receivers used in the Chain Home radar. He also had fond memories of the ancient Austin 12 that his wife used to drive him between stations.
